In order to run a business successfully you need to attract and retain clients. Too often business owners who are highly skilled in their field trip themselves up when negotiating a new contract or when renewing an existing one. Many do not understand how they are perceived by others and what their “negotiating style” is which leads to mixed messaging, reduced fees, and possibly losing a client all together.
In this presentation at the WEBOND Women’s Networking meeting, we will identify the different negotiating styles and how to deal with various types of prospective customers. We will also discuss what to do before a negotiation can even take place.
