ICF-CT CHAPTER COACH SERVES THE VETERAN POPULATION

E. Elizabeth (Beth) Carter – an executive, business and career coach with offices in Fairfield, CT and Warren, RI and serving clients worldwide coaches veterans and their families/caregivers in the Connecticut Chapter’s Community Outreach Initiative.

May 9, 2014E. Elizabeth (Beth) Carter is one of the certified coaches generously offering their time and expertise in the Connecticut Chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF-CT) community outreach initiative in partnership with Stand Beside Them, Inc. (SBT), a national coaching program serving veterans and their families/caregivers, during International Coaching Week (ICW) May 19-25, 2014.

ICW is an annual weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession scheduled for May 19-25.   During this week, coaches around the world offer a variety of activities and pro bono services in their local communities to educate the public about the value of working with a professional coach and to experience, firsthand, the benefits of coaching.  Members of the ICF-CT chapter will be celebrating the week in a variety of activities including becoming a volunteer coach with Stand Beside Them, Inc.

Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.  Coaches work with clients in many areas, including business, career, finance, health and relationships.

The community outreach initiative is designed to provide a meaningful way for members of the ICF-CT to give back to the community and to raise the awareness of individuals, leaders and organizations in Connecticut of the value and benefits of professional coaching.   Benefits include fresh perspectives on personal challenges, enhanced decision-making skills, greater interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence and productivity.

The mission of Stand Beside Them, Inc. (SBT) is to provide coaching services to our returning service members and their families/caregivers who may be encountering obstacles here on the home front.  SBT volunteer coaches help veterans transition to civilian life by working with them for a successful reintegration in all environments: work, family and the community.

E. Elizabeth (Beth) Carter launched Beth Carter Enterprises in 2011, a thriving business that encompasses executive, business, and career coaching, workshops and presentations, and the DISC, Motivators, and Emotional Intelligence assessments.  She serves as a “thought partner” for executives and middle managers of small and Fortune 500 companies, business owners, and those that want to have more fulfilling careers.  She has a keen ability to help these individuals reach their goals in such areas as leadership and management development, expanding marketing capabilities, and performance enhancement while motivating them to their full potential.

Beth’s services include both individual sessions and group coaching:

One on One Coaching – This individualistic approach offers a more in-depth evaluation of what you want to accomplish and how you want to get there.  By having open and honest conversations which includes brainstorming sessions, Beth can guide you to discover your true potential. Together we will identify what your struggles are and how to overcome them effectively.

Group Coaching – By offering coaching in a group setting, Beth can engage the individuals to offer inspiration and ideas to each other by revealing their relevant life experiences which will result in energizing them to move forward in identifying and accomplishing their individual and group objectives.
